A ceramic coating makes it harder for dust and contaminants to stick to your vehicle, keeping it cleaner for longer. Normally, over time dirt, brake dust, water spots, and road grime can build up on the coating itself, reducing its hydrophobic properties and shine. When properly maintained, XPEL Fusion Plus ceramic coating can last for many years and is backed by a 4-year or 8-year warranty.
For customers who have their vehicle coated with XPEL Ceramic Coating at The Detail Doctor, we offer a Ceramic Maintenance Detail which keeps the coating performing at its best. The vehicle is thoroughly rinsed in our wash bay, then hand-washed with a soft lambswool mitt to remove dirt and debris. If needed, a light decontamination mitt is used to remove any surface contamination. The car is dried using compressed air and synthetic absorber towels, then finished with XPEL Ceramic Boost, which adds a micro-thin protective layer to help resist debris, contaminants, and scratches while maintaining the coating’s slick, hydrophobic properties.
The interior is also refreshed with a blowout, vacuum, and light cleaning of seats, center console, and dashboard. Windows are cleaned inside and out, tires are dressed. The vehicle undergoes a final quality inspection to ensure the end result meets our high standards.
To maintain this level of detail, we recommend hand washing weekly or bi-monthly and reapplying Ceramic Boost every 15–25 weeks. This service is typically performed once per year and also serves as a water-behavior test to keep the product warranty valid. For optimal performance and appearance, we recommend this service 2–3 times per year to ensure the product is functioning properly while keeping your vehicle looking its best.
